Expense Tracker (“the app”) is developed and maintained by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it’s used.
Account information. When you register or log in, we collect your name and email address to create and secure your account. Authentication is handled via JWT tokens.
Expense and budget data. Expenses, categories, notes, dates, and budget amounts you enter are stored on our servers and on your device (for offline access) so the app can sync and display your data across sessions.
Device and usage data. We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage (e.g., screens visited, feature usage) in aggregate, and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications (e.g., budget alerts), which requires a device notification token.
We do not sell your personal information. Expense and budget data you enter is not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., our hosting/backend infrastructure).
The app uses:
Expense and account data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on our backend servers. A local copy is cached on your device using an offline-first database to support offline use.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below. We will remove your data within a reasonable time after verifying your request.
This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
